sigh.

yes, it's true. my stewardship of boondoggle.com is finally coming to an end. i've succumbed to the thudding dull pressure of economics, the hallmark of our rotten Modern world. everything comes down to money. at least the new owner has plans to do more with it than i ever managed to do (publicly, at any rate) so i wish him well.

it's the end of an era. for 16 years this single black page has stood quietly and stubbornly in the face of animated .gifs, <blink> tags, javascript, flash and bloody ads - all the sound and fury of the web today - a small monument to browser independence and low bandwidth, a bulwark against the cluttered, garish and crassly commercial. but your humble proprietor is strapped for cash. so it goes.
